Golf Lessons
Our current lesson rates include the following. All rates listed are per golfer.
PRIVATE LESSONS
30-Minute Lesson (adult): $75
Set of Four 30-Minute Lessons (adult): $275
Set of Six 30-Minute Lessons (adult): $400
SEMI-PRIVATE GROUP LESSONS
Group lessons are available for two-to-four golfers at a time.
45-Minute Lesson (adult): $60/person
Set of Four 45-Minute Lessons (adult): $225/person

PLAYING LESSONS
Playing lessons are available for individuals or groups of two or three golfers. Rates are available upon request.

Adult Clinics
If you’re an adult looking to learn the game of golf, we invite you to register for our adult golf clinics and prepare for 9 or 18-hole play.
Golfers attending two clinics will receive a free bucket of range balls, while golfers attending six clinics will receive a certificate for nine holes of golf.

Professional Staff
Andy Benson – Head Golf Professional, Class A Member of the PGA
Andy is a Class A Member of the PGA and has been the Head Golf Professional at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch since 1998. Andy’s teaching experience includes numerous golf schools in Colorado, Hawaii, California and Arizona, and thousands of private lessons to students of all abilities.
Eric Schaupeter – Assistant Golf Professional, Class A Member of the PGA
Eric has been a member of the PGA since 2002. He grew up in Wheat Ridge and attended Metropolitan State University of Denver where he graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. He started his golf career at Castle Pines Golf Club where he was the Caddie Master for 5 years. Eric came to Highlands Ranch in 1998 when the club opened, as one of the Assistant Golf Professionals, where he spent the next 7 years. He then moved into the Head Golf Professional position at Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club where he remained for 6 years. In 2011 Eric got out of golf and worked for UPS on the Management Team for 7 years. He returned to University of Denver Golf Club in May of 2022. In Eric’s free time he enjoys golfing with his buddies and playing hockey.
Matteo Glennon – Assistant Golf Professional, Associate of the PGA
Matteo is a PGA Associate and has been with the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch since 2021. Matteo grew up in the Vail Valley and attended the University of Colorado-Boulder, graduating in 2020. He developed a love for the game caddying and playing at the Country Club of the Rockies. He enjoys promoting the game of golf to all levels, and helping develop players to be the best they can be. If Matteo is not playing golf, you can probably find him spending time with his dog Gigi and playing hockey.
Jaime MacDonald – Teaching Professional, Class A Member of the PGA
Jaime is a Class A Member of the PGA. As an amateur, she won back-to-back North Dakota state high school championships, as well as the 1999 Colorado Pub Links Championship. She was a four-year letter winner for the University of Colorado. Jaime has been a professional since 2002 and has been involved in the teaching programs at Flatirons Golf Course, Sanctuary and the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch. She has taught more than 10,000 golf lessons and clinics to players of all abilities.
Mark McCarthy – Junior Program Leader, Class A Member of the PGA
Mark is a Class A Member of the PGA and has taught at the University of Denver Golf Club since 2003. He enjoys promoting the game of golf to all levels and watching students make their best shots ever. He continues to be a student of the game and believes in player development through fundamental instruction along with physical and mental practices. Mark conducts the Junior Golf Programs at DUGC and is a Golf In-Schools leader, instructor with the First Tee and a high school golf coach. Mark has qualified for both the Denver and Colorado Opens, plays in Colorado PGA sectioned events and would love to play more.
